2026 EDGE Tennessee Football Commit CJ Edwards Shines Bright on Rocky Top Visit
Tennessee Vols fans have every reason to be excited about the future—especially with 2026 EDGE commit CJ Edwardsreaffirming his pledge after a thrilling official visit to Knoxville.
Edwards, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound edge rusher out of Georgia, is already turning heads across the Southeast for his explosiveness, motor, and disruptive presence off the line. But it was his visit to Rocky Top that truly sealed the deal.
“From the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like home,” Edwards said. “The coaches showed love, the fans were everywhere, and Neyland Stadium is just…different. I can really see myself making plays here.”
During his visit, CJ got the full VIP treatment—from touring the new state-of-the-art facilities to bonding with future teammates and sitting down with head coach Josh Heupel. He also spent time with defensive coordinator Tim Banks, who broke down how Edwards would be used in Tennessee’s aggressive 4-2-5 scheme.
“They see me as a playmaker on the edge, standing up or hand in the dirt,” CJ explained. “I’m coming in to eat—simple as that.”
Known for his relentless energy and fierce pass-rushing ability, Edwards is already drawing early comparisons to former Vols standout Derek Barnett. His blend of speed, length, and football IQ makes him one of the top EDGE prospects in the 2026 class.
As recruiting heats up across the country, Tennessee fans can breathe easy—CJ Edwards is all in. With his commitment stronger than ever, the Vols are building something special on the defensive side of the ball.
Rocky Top just got a whole lot louder.
