Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided an injury update regarding midfielder Romeo Lavia ahead of tomorrow’s West London Derby clash with Brentford.
Romeo Lavia has struggled for fitness since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023. In almost two years with Blues, the Belgian midfielder has only made 12 Premier League appearances.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has revealed that the 21-year-old will be sidelined tomorrow due to an injury.
The Italian reports that, Enzo Maresca said this ahead of the West London derby: “Romeo Lavia is out for tomorrow”.
“If you compare Romeo’s games this season to last season, he has already improved. But the target is just to try to keep him fit as much as we can and play more games next season than this season”.
The game tomorrow is a must win for Chelsea as they aim to return to Champions League football by next season.
