Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has revealed his plans to retire from football at the club.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that the 39-year-old wishes to extend his contract with Real Madrid and remain at the Bernabeu for another season.
The Croatian skipper told Telefoot today: “Right now, I’m not thinking about retirement.”
“But as I’ve always said: I’d like to retire at Real Madrid, which would be a dream for me. We’ll see what happens. There’s still a lot of the season left, and I want to focus on what remains, because there are many games ahead. We’ll see what happens. I’m in no hurry.” He added.
Luka Modric has won 28 trophies with Real Madrid since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, making him the most decorated Real Madrid player of all time.
