Auburn football gets commitment from state of Alabama’s top 2027 recruit
AUBURN — Donivan Moore, a consensus four-star defensive line prospect in the 2027 class, announced his commitment to Auburn football on Thursday, Feb. 12, giving Alex Golesh’s staff an early victory in the next recruiting cycle.
Moore, a Hueytown (Ala.) High School product, is listed at 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds. He’s also rated a top-100 player nationally by multiple recruiting services. Based on 247Sports’ composite ratings, Moore’s the 72nd-best player in the country, a top-five prospect at his position and the highest-rated recruit in the state of Alabama.
As a sophomore, Moore posted 58 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pair of interceptions which were returned for touchdowns.
That’s now two commitments in Auburn’s upcoming class, with Moore following three-star tight end Trae Proctor, who pledged to the program Jan. 19.
With Moore in the fold, Auburn’s 2027 class ranks 36th nationally and 11th in the SEC, according to 247’s class calculator. Previously, Auburn’s class was tied for 54th nationally and 15th in the conference.
