Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea and Sporting CP have reached an agreement that would cost Chelsea €22 million for Dario Essugo.
Fabrizio also reports that the 20-year-old has also undergone medicals ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge. He is expected to sign a 7 year deal that will keep him at the Bridge until 2032.
Dario Essugo is expected to join Chelsea already this summer as a cover for Moises Caicedo. The Portuguese youngster is tipped to be a key ball winner in the future.
The 20-year-old could roll back the days of legendary defensive midfielders like Claude Makele, N’golo Kante for Chelsea fans when he arrives at the Bridge this summer.
Chelsea have now signed two players from Sporting CP this week after they already reached an agreement with the Portuguese side for right-back Geovany Quenda for a fee around the region of £40 million. The 17-year-old is expected to remain at Sporting for another season and will officially join the Blues in the Summer of 2026.
