Manchester City will reportedly be without striker Erling Haaland for most of this season.
Haaland scored the equalizing goal for Manchester City during their FA Cup Quarterfinal clash with Bournemouth as they came from behind to beat the cherries 3-1 at the Vitality stadium.
Haaland first showed signs of injury when he went down after colliding with the advertisement board. He had his ankle locked under the pressure and weight of falling Lewis Cook.
The Norwegian was treated and continued playing only to wave at the bench a few minutes later signaling for a substitution and was replaced with Omar Marmoush.
According to the Standard, the 24-year-old striker was seen leaving the Vitality stadium limping and with the aid of crutches and a protective boot after the game against Bournemouth on Sunday.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Haaland will miss most of the remaining games of this season after he was diagnosed with an ankle injury after initial tests were carried out earlier today.
However, Erling Haaland is expected to be fit and available before the season officially ends and also in time for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in June.
