As Roma forward Paulo Dybala is expected to miss Argentina’s World Cup Qualifying games during the upcoming international break.
Roma Head coach Claudio Ranieri was forced to substitute the 31-year-old who was unable to complete Roma’s game against Cagliari on Sunday.
According to reports from Sky Sports Italia and Gazette this morning, Dybala had undergone scans and exams which revealed he had suffered a knee injury.
Claudio Ranieri had hoped that the Argentine only had a knock and not an injury but with the exam report Dybala is expected to be out for around a month.
Dybala has been crucial to Ranieri’s Roma team this season. The former Juventus man has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 36 games in all competitions this season.
Argentina is now expected to be without Dybala for the upcoming games against Uruguay and Brazil on Saturday and Wednesday respectively in the FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
