Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on winger Bukayo Saka after he was forced off the pitch last night during the first leg of the Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
Saka went down just after the 70th minute and was treated by Arsenal’s medical team before he was eventually substituted and replaced with Leonard Trossard in the 74th minute.
Arteta in a post match press conference said: “Bukayo was after he got tackled on the foul, I think he had a knock and he had to go.”
“Bukayo Saka has not suffered any serious injury. He’s fine, I think it was a kick.” He added via Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal will travel to the Santiago Bernabeu next week for the returning leg of their Champions League clash with Real Madrid, but first they face Brentford this weekend in the Premier League.
