A major series changing announcement has just surfaced by a NHL insider regarding former Boston Bruins head coach, Jim Montgomery, and his new organization, the St. Louis Blues.

Former Boston Bruins head coach, Jim Montgomery, and the St. Louis Blues will be taking on the Winnipeg Jets for Game 6 this Friday, May 2, to compete for their first-round of the playoff series, and a new announcement has just surfaced that can be series changing.

Today, Thursday May 1, the Jets’ coach, Scott Ariel, told the Winnipeg media that one of their organizations top-forward, Mark Scheifele, will not be travelling with his team for Friday’s game.

Take a look:

Jets head coach Scott Arniel announces Mark Scheifele will not travel for Game 6.

This has striked controversy due to the fact te 32-year old underwent two brutal hits from Brayden Schengen and Radek Faksa during the series thus far, which has drawn attention to the Schenn hit.

As of now, Mark Scheifele’s injury is undisclosed, and the extent of his injuries are unknown.

However, when Scott Ariel was asked if the 32-year old’s absence was due to a concussion protocol, he quickly responded by saying, ‘I’m not going down that road.’

Although it is uncertain how severe Scheifele’s injuries are, this can be absolutely life-changing for the Jim Montgomery as well as the Blue’s during such a crucial part of the NHL year as this Jets’ forward is impeccable, and losing that talent on the ice might just be what the Blues need to make it to the second round.

Do you think Montgomery and the St. Louis Blues will make it to the second round
