In an extraordinary feat of consistency and dominance, Addie Siders of Sumrall High School has been named the Mississippi Gatorade Girls Soccer Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. The announcement marks a defining moment in the rising star’s already storied high school career, and cements her place among the state’s elite athletes.
Siders, a senior midfielder, dazzled throughout the 2024–25 season with her unmatched field vision, crisp passing, and relentless drive. She recorded 32 goals and 25 assists, leading Sumrall to a near-perfect season and a deep playoff run. Her ability to control tempo and execute under pressure made her not just a standout on the stat sheet, but also the emotional leader of her team.
The Gatorade award honors more than just athletic excellence—it recognizes academic performance and character. Siders maintained a 4.0 GPA, volunteers regularly at local youth soccer clinics, and has served as a mentor to younger teammates throughout her time at Sumrall.
“It’s such an honor to win this award again,” Siders said. “I’m proud of the work I’ve put in, but I’m even more thankful for my teammates, coaches, and family who push me to be better every day.”
With multiple college offers on the table, Siders is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks. Wherever she lands, one thing is certain: she’ll bring leadership, heart, and the proven ability to shine on the biggest stages.
As Mississippi fans celebrate back-to-back greatness, the name Addie Siders is now synonymous with excellence—and her journey is only just beginning.
